At Southern Hogspitality, we’re more than just caterers—we’re storytellers, pitmasters, and proud stewards of Southern tradition with a Western twist. Based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, we believe a good meal should do more than fill your plate—it should feed your soul and bring people together.
Inspired by 50-year-old family recipes, homesteading heritage, and the untamed beauty of the West, we craft unforgettable experiences with slow-smoked meats, scratch-made comfort food, and locally sourced ingredients. From hot springs adventures to riverside dining and ranch-style weddings, we bring flavor to every corner of Jackson Hole and the Greater Teton Region.
When you choose Southern Hogspitality, you’re not just booking a meal—you’re joining a tradition.
One bite, one story, one experience at a time.
Who we are
Meet the Team
Justin Walters, Founder & Head Chef
Originally from South Carolina, Justin grew up around homesteading and was raised with a “live-off-the-land” mentality. Mealtime was family-time, and the family always cooked with ingredients that were grown or raised at home. In 2006, Justin packed his bags and headed West to experience life in the Tetons and all it has to offer.
Now after 20 years of working as a Park Ranger, Wildlife Interpreter, Director of Visitor Services, and Custom Caterer, Justin finds joy in blending his love for Southern cooking with the bold flavors of the West, creating a delicious fusion that warms the heart as much as it fuels the adventurous Western spirit.
Jessie Walters, Owner & Operations Director
Jessie grew up in northeastern Oklahoma, where she discovered her love of the natural world and penguins. She attended the University of Montana, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology. After graduating from college, Jessie found herself in Jackson Hole working for a scenic raft company as a scenic float driver. She then volunteered with SANCCOB in South Africa, where she completed her life goal of working with penguins. After leaving Jackson for one winter, Jessie returned and has since worked at the National Elk Refuge, Jackson Hole EcoTours, and the Teton Raptor Center. When not working, Jessie enjoys the beauty of nature with her family and helping out on their small farm.
